He graduated from the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) and has a masters in Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremity from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, in Barcelona.

The training required to be an orthopedic surgeon in Mexico is as follows: a 6 year med school program, a 4 year orthopedic surgery specialty program. After achieving the degree of orthopedic surgeon, fellowship training is recommended to better treat our patients.
